Coffee Reviews is an independent directory of coffee, matcha and coffee gear: the beans, pods, powders, machines and grinders people buy on Amazon, TikTok Shop and direct from roasters and brands. Every product gets a score, a plain-English explanation and links to the evidence behind it.
Why we built it
Buying coffee online is harder than it should be. Star ratings bunch up between four and five, so they rarely separate a good bag from a great one. TikTok Shop surfaces new products fast, but a viral video isn't a review. Roaster pages promise chocolate and stone fruit on nearly every bag, and espresso machine listings rarely mention what breaks after a year.
The useful information exists, but it's scattered: long creator reviews where someone actually pulls the shots, Reddit threads where owners report back after months of use, and the fine print about roast dates and origins. We gather it into one page per product, so you can decide in minutes instead of an evening of open tabs.
What makes us different
- Independent. No brand, roaster or retailer owns us or can pay for a review, a score or a better spot on a list. We earn affiliate commissions, and they never touch a score; our affiliate disclosure explains how.
- Verified videos. Every creator video is checked with YouTube or TikTok before it appears, and an editor confirms it really reviews that product. Sponsored videos are labeled.
- Real quotes. When we quote Reddit or a forum, the words are verbatim and linked to the original thread.
- A community with its own voice. Members rate products, keep tasting logs and discuss them in threads. Their rating sits next to ours, never blended into it.
- A flavor wheel you can use. Our flavor wheel sorts more than 100 tasting notes into nine families. Spin it or pick the notes you like, and it shows products that match. Members' tasting logs fill in the wheel on each product page.
What we don't do
We don't run a lab, and we don't cup or brew every product we list. Our scores are editorial opinions built from public specifications, verified creator reviews, community consensus and value. How we score explains every factor and its weight. We'd rather say so up front than let a number look more scientific than it is.
Who we are
We're the Coffee Reviews editors. We drink a lot of coffee and matcha, from supermarket instant to rare single origins, and we'd rather get the details right than publish first. Our editorial standards cover how we choose products, avoid conflicts of interest and fix mistakes.
