The rules for using Coffee Reviews: our content, your community posts, acceptable use, affiliate links, no medical advice and the limits of our liability.

These terms apply when you use coffeereviews.org. By using the site, you agree to them; if you don't, please don't use it. "We" and "us" mean Coffee Reviews.

Our content

Our reviews, scores, guides, flavor wheel, writing and design belong to Coffee Reviews or the people we license them from. You're welcome to read, link to and quote short passages from our pages with credit and a link. Please don't copy whole reviews, republish our scores in bulk, or present our work as your own. Product names, logos and images belong to their owners, and creator videos belong to their creators.

Scores are opinions

Our scores and recommendations are editorial opinions based on public specifications, verified creator reviews, community feedback and value. We don't lab-test products or cup every product we list. Prices, specs and availability change, so check with the retailer before you buy. How we score explains our method.

No medical advice

Nothing on Coffee Reviews is medical, nutritional or health advice, and that includes posts from community members. Caffeine affects people differently. Claims about mushroom coffees, functional blends and supplements are the brands' claims, and we don't evaluate them. If you're pregnant, have a health condition or take medication, talk to a doctor before changing what you drink.

We earn commissions from some links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. When you buy something, you're buying from that retailer, not from us. Orders, shipping, returns, warranties and product safety are between you, the retailer and the manufacturer. We aren't responsible for the content or policies of other sites.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to create an account, or older if the law where you live requires it. One account per person. Keep your sign-in details safe, because you're responsible for activity on your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time through the contact page.

Community content

You own what you post, including threads, replies, ratings and tasting logs. By posting, you give Coffee Reviews a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, format and distribute it on the site and in features built from it, such as community ratings and flavor maps, and to quote it with your username in our newsletter or social posts. This license ends when you or we delete the content, except for newsletters already sent and backups that expire on their own.

You're responsible for what you post. Share only what you have the right to share, and keep it honest: ratings and tasting logs should reflect your own experience.

Acceptable use

Don't use Coffee Reviews to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
  • harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hateful or sexual content;
  • post spam, undisclosed promotion, or votes and ratings from multiple accounts;
  • share other people's personal information;
  • upload malware or try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours;
  • overload the site with automated requests or get around rate limits, Turnstile or other security measures.

Our community guidelines explain these rules in more detail. We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the guidelines.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, send us the details through the contact page: the work, where it appears on our site, and how to reach you. We'll review it promptly and remove material that infringes.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We provide Coffee Reviews as is. We work hard to be accurate, but we don't guarantee that the site is free of errors, always available, or that any product will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Coffee Reviews isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including losses from a purchase you made after reading it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the owner of Coffee Reviews is based, and any dispute will be handled under the applicable law of that jurisdiction. Before bringing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, these terms don't take that away.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top and post a notice on the site for significant changes. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
