Four Sigmatic Protein Coffee stacks organic instant Arabica (about 100 mg caffeine) with 10 g of protein from organic pea protein and grass-fed bovine collagen, creatine monohydrate and lion's mane extract, lightly sweetened with coconut sugar. The brand's page now lists 5 g of creatine and 3,000 mg of lion's mane (from a 6:1 extract), while Taste of Home's June 2026 review described 3 g of creatine, so the formula appears to have changed. Testers find it noticeably sweeter than plain coffee and convenient, but at $30 for 10 servings it costs far more than coffee plus protein powder.

In the roaster’s words
“Smooth full-bodied medium roast coffee with notes of caramel and hint of cinnamon”
How it scored
Cup score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
Taste of Home's tester found the flavor grew on her, with cinnamon and coconut notes, but it is clearly sweeter than plain coffee.
Uses real doses of creatine and protein and a disclosed lion's mane amount from fruiting bodies, with no whey.
$3 per cup one-off is steep next to instant coffee plus a scoop of protein and creatine.
Fruiting-body lion's mane and organic Arabica are named, but there is no origin detail and only a generic 'Tested For Toxins' badge.
A new and recently reformulated product with a positive Taste of Home review; little other independent coverage yet.
What people are saying
Verbatim from Reddit, forums and long-term owner write-ups — linked so you can read the full thread.
“Right off the bat, the powder had a pleasant aroma with hints of cinnamon and coconut. I’ll admit I wasn’t sure how I felt about the initial sip, but the flavor quickly grew on me.”
“Taste-wise, expect something sweeter than your average cup of joe. Since I typically add plant milk to my coffee anyway, a splash of unsweetened soy milk mellowed out the sweetness and turned it into more of a latte. If you already use flavored coffee creamer or protein powder in your coffee, the sweeter flavor profile probably won’t feel that different.”

FAQ
Four Sigmatic's product page currently lists 5 g of creatine monohydrate per serving. Taste of Home's June 2026 review described 3 g, so check the label on the bag you buy.
The brand says around 100 mg per serving, similar to a regular cup of coffee.
No. Protein comes from organic pea protein plus grass-fed bovine collagen peptides, so it isn't plant-only, though it contains no whey or dairy.
Yes. The brand suggests mixing it with a splash of warm water first and then pouring over ice, and Taste of Home's tester found it mixed well even in cold water.
