A low-cost functional ground coffee: Peruvian medium roast with lion's mane, rhodiola and coffee cherry for about $0.59 a cup.
Laird's FOCUS is a full-caffeine medium roast. It blends organic, high-altitude Peruvian Arabica with coffee cherry powder, organic lion's mane extract and rhodiola extract. Laird calls for just 2 Tbsp (10 g) per 12 oz cup, so a $20 bag makes about 34 cups; Taste of Home named it the best-value mushroom coffee in its tested roundup. The trade-offs: there's only one mushroom, the lion's mane dose isn't disclosed, and the blend as a whole isn't certified organic, though it is Non-GMO Project Verified. We found no independent video review of this exact coffee; the only video listed is Laird's own launch clip.

How it scored
Cup score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
Taste of Home's tester found it complex and preferred it to darker mushroom roasts, though the same review notes some people find the taste unpleasant.
Uses high-altitude Peruvian Arabica packed with an inert-gas system, but it has a single mushroom and the extract amounts are not stated.
About $0.59 a cup at list price, among the cheapest functional coffees, because each cup uses only 10 g.
Names the origin (Peru) and is Non-GMO Project Verified, but publishes no dose or lab testing, and a retailer listing shows a Prop 65 lead warning.
Few independent reviews or videos exist; the coverage we found is a Taste of Home best-value pick and a skeptical Evident score.

What people are saying
Verbatim from Reddit, forums and long-term owner write-ups — linked so you can read the full thread.
“Laird’s coffee beans are grown at a high altitude, which the company says is responsible for delivering a complex flavor profile. I’d have to admit, I agree. I preferred the taste of this blend compared to that of the stronger, darker roasts.”
“Laird Superfood offers excellent value at ~$0.41/serving with a clean 4-ingredient formula, but the undisclosed mushroom dosage is a significant issue.”

FAQ
Laird recommends 2 Tbsp (10 g) of grounds per 12 oz of water, so a 12 oz (340 g) bag makes about 34 cups. At the $20 list price that is roughly $0.59 a cup.
The coffee and lion's mane extract are labeled organic, but the coffee cherry powder and rhodiola extract are not, and the bag has no USDA Organic seal. It does carry the Non-GMO Project Verified seal.
Laird says you won't taste the adaptogens. Taste of Home's dietitian tester described a complex flavor she preferred to darker roasts, while noting the taste is divisive for some.
Grove Collaborative's listing for this coffee shows a California Prop 65 warning that it can expose you to lead. Laird does not publish third-party heavy-metal test results for the blend.
