Torani's original Vanilla syrup is the familiar coffee-shop flavoring: pure cane sugar, water and natural flavors, with citric acid and preservatives. A 2-tablespoon serving adds 80 calories and 20 g of added sugar. Sporked's vanilla syrup taste test made it the runner-up, praising a smooth, potent and balanced vanilla with a silky texture. It comes in a 750 ml glass bottle (pump sold separately) or a 375 ml plastic bottle.

How it scored
Cup score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
Sporked's tester called it smooth, potent and perfectly balanced, and it narrowly finished second in a vanilla syrup taste test.
Made with cane sugar and natural flavors rather than corn syrup, but it still uses preservatives and is pure sugar syrup.
About 44¢ per 2-tablespoon serving from the 750 ml bottle, far less than a café flavor shot.
No ingredient-origin or vanilla-sourcing information is published.
Torani marks it as a best seller, and Sporked called Torani the 'it girl' of coffee syrups.
