Espresso, drip-style coffee and cold brew with a built-in scale, grind guidance and hands-free froth; easy, if not perfectly consistent.
Ninja's grinder-equipped 3-in-1 machine brews espresso, drip-style coffee and rapid cold brew from whole beans. Barista Assist recommends a grind size (25 settings) and adjusts brewing, a built-in scale doses by weight, an assisted tamper presses the puck, and the Dual Froth System makes hot or cold microfoam hands-free. Reviewers were surprised by real espresso from non-pressurized baskets at this price, though Coffee Kev saw shot-volume swings on his unit and the US version lacks a hot-water button and single-shot basket.

How it scored
Gear score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
Tom's Coffee Corner was flabbergasted by real espresso from standard non-pressurized baskets, but Coffee Kev saw large shot-to-shot volume swings on his 601.
Stainless finish over consumer-grade internals with only a 1-year limited warranty; Coffee Kev notes early teething problems.
Grind recommendations, weight-based dosing, assisted tamping and hands-free hot or cold froth remove most of the guesswork.
$599.99 covers espresso, drip-style coffee, cold brew, a grinder and a scale, undercutting Breville machines with similar automation.
A breakout hit covered by James Hoffmann, Coffee Kev (including a 6-month update) and Lifestyle Lab, tempered by reports of ratio inconsistency.

“I was honestly pretty flabbergasted at the result this $499 machine is able to provide.”
“The Ninja Luxe Cafe has some really cool features, my favorite of which is an included scale, that measures out each dose!”
“By the way, I’ve had issues with the ratio on my 601. I’d always expect slight differences in volume, but on my 601 Premier, it varies hugely from shot to shot.”
“Other than some teething problems, including manufacturing enough to meet demand, from what I can gather, the Ninja Luxe Premier ES 601 has been a huge hit…”

Yes. It doses ground coffee by weight; Tom's Coffee Corner consistently got about 17.5 g for an espresso.
