A $50 rechargeable handheld foamer whose mesh NanoScreens make real latte-art microfoam; you heat the milk and practice first.
The NanoFoamer pushes milk through interchangeable mesh NanoScreens with a patented impeller, shearing bubbles into steam-wand-style microfoam rather than the stiff froth of whisk frothers. The Lithium model ($49.95) adds a USB-C rechargeable battery, two speeds and up to 3,500 RPM; the AA-powered V2 costs $37. Reviewers say it makes genuine latte-art milk on a budget, but you heat milk separately, it takes practice and it feels plasticky.

Watch-outs
How it scored
Gear score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
The Coffee Chronicler credits it with true latte-art-quality microfoam on a budget, BrewCoffeeHome found it beat regular frothers, and Tom's Guide says it excels at hot milk, though it worked best with cow's milk.
Stainless shaft and IPX-4 splash resistance, but Tom's Guide found it plasticky and cheaply made.
Rinses clean and recharges via USB-C, but milk must be heated separately, technique takes practice and high speed can spray milk.
$49.95 (or $37 for the AA V2) is far cheaper than a steam wand or the $159 NanoFoamer PRO for real microfoam.
A Tom's Guide Editor's Choice that BrewCoffeeHome calls 'the best milk frother we’ve ever used', and widely shown by home-barista creators.

What people are saying
Verbatim from Reddit, forums and long-term owner write-ups — linked so you can read the full thread.
“The Subminimal NanoFoamer is a solid option for budget-conscious coffee aficionados. Getting latte art-quality microfoam for this kind of money was hard to imagine a few years ago.”
“Where the Nanofoamer really excels is foaming hot milk. All of the other functions are simply extra perks.”
“While the foamer performs well, its looks let it down a bit. Although it's sturdy enough, it still feels plasticky and cheaply made.”
“Yes, there is a learning curve, so it’s unlikely you’ll create stunning latte art with it immediately. However, it’s possible with practice.”

FAQ
No. You heat milk in a microwave or on the stove first; Subminimal's heated option is the $159 NanoFoamer PRO, which Tom's Guide suggests for regular hot drinks.
It can with practice. Its NanoScreens make microfoam closer to a steam wand's; The Coffee Chronicler lists 'true latte art quality microfoam on a budget' as a pro, while BrewCoffeeHome warns stunning latte art won't come immediately.
The Lithium ($49.95) is USB-C rechargeable with two speeds; the V2 ($37) runs on two AA batteries at a single speed. The Coffee Chronicler recommends paying extra for the rechargeable version.
Subminimal suggests the superfine NanoScreen for flat whites and piccolos and the fine screen for cappuccinos.
