A simple, server-sized brew scale with a built-in timer from the maker of the V60; coarser readings above 200 g.
Hario's long-running pour-over scale weighs up to 2,000 g with a built-in timer and a footprint sized to fit a Hario server. It reads in 0.1 g steps up to 200 g, 0.5 g to 500 g and 1 g beyond, runs on included batteries, and is not water resistant. Reviewers call it a popular, relatively low-priced option for drip, AeroPress and French press, though newer rechargeable scales add flow-rate and auto-timer features for similar money.

How it scored
Gear score out of 10, weighted across five factors.
Accurate enough for brewing with a built-in timer, but resolution drops to 0.5 g above 200 g and 1 g above 500 g.
Plastic (ABS) body that Hario says is not water resistant.
Simple controls, a timer and a server-sized footprint; it runs on batteries rather than USB charging.
At $60 it costs slightly more than rechargeable rivals such as Timemore's $55 Basic 2.0, which adds flow-rate and auto-timer features.
A long-standing, widely used brew scale that Coffee Kev calls very popular and a good low- to mid-range option.
